The leg locks are smooth and quick to tighten, which makes setting up on uneven ground a breeze. For its compact size, it’s surprisingly stable even with my heavier camera gear.

I’ve been using this on hikes and it’s impressively stable for its weight—the twist locks are fast and the center column has just enough height for most shots. One small thing: the ball head is a bit stiff out of the box, but it’s loosening up with use.
